The SV-87 "Pobeda" (Victory) represents the culmination of five years of intensive research at the Tula State Armaments Institute. Developed under the personal guidance of Commissar-General Sergei Rostov, the rifle embodies the superior socialist engineering principles that have always distinguished Eurasian military technology.
"This weapon will ensure our inevitable victory over the capitalist-revisionist forces of Oceania," declared Defense Commissar Viktor Zolotov at today's ceremony in Red Square. "Each SV-87 carries within it the spirit of our ancestors who defeated fascism in the Great Patriotic War."
The rifle's revolutionary gas-operated system, combined with its chrome-lined barrel and advanced polymers, makes it significantly more reliable than the primitive weapons employed by Oceanian conscripts. Field tests conducted in the Siberian Training Districts demonstrated a 99.7% operational reliability rate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C.
